Donations
It is only thanks to the generosity of individuals, businesses and organisations that ReVamp can exist. ReVamp strives to provide quality at an affordable price and to this end we have to draw the line somewhere. The line usually hovers around the five year mark. Computers older than this struggle to run the latest software. An anti-virus program is a case in point, a must have that needs to be kept current to provide online protection.
Businesses and Organisations wishing to donate IT equipment to ReVamp should ring ReVamp on a Wednesday or Thursday to arrange to drop this off or have it picked up. All hard disks donated to ReVamp are securely wiped. If we can't run the wiping program on a disk we physically destroy it. If your business or organisation needs documentation to prove this please inform us when arranging a donation.
We do not take donations from individuals directly. People wishing to donate their home computer equipment should take it to the Eco Centre in Eaglehawk. Please note that the old fashioned CRT monitors incur a fee of $10 now. These monitors do not come back to ReVamp but are dismantled and recycled. The fee charged only subsidises the cost of disposal. ReVamp cannot afford to pay this fee for you so please don't bring your old monitors to us.
